Through nutrition education, special events and continuous improvement, the OCPS Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) department is reaching their mission to provide access to quality nutritious meals in a customer friendly environment and to support all students and educators' ability to achieve academic excellence while forming healthy eating habits that will last a lifetime.

Important Meal Benefits Update for School Year 2023 - 2024

For the 2023-24 school year all existing OCPS schools who participate in the Food Service program will be implementing the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) which allows ALL students to receive ALL school meals at NO CHARGE.

*Snacks and Supper are based on individual school qualifications.
*Please check your child's school for participation details.

Nutrition

The five food group components are: proteins, grains, vegetables, fruits, and milk.  To ensure your child is eating nutritiously, students can choose three to five components for their meal. Items will be charged at their individual price if less than three to five components are not selected.  

For Breakfast:
Students may select a minimum of three out of four offered food items, where one of those items must be a 1/2 cup fruit or vegetables.

For Lunch:
Students may select a minimum of three out of five offered food items and one of those components must be a 1/2 cup fruit or vegetable.

Students can enjoy extra benefits:
- A la Carte Smart Snacks such as light popcorn, pretzels, baked chips, granola bars and more.
- OCPS Birthday Bites - Celebrate your child's birthday in their classroom with all their friends.
- Extra meals 

NOTE: There is a convenience fee of $1.59 each time funds are added to an account.
