Posted on 09/02/2018

Dear Eagle Nation,

This week’s edition of the Sunday Blast includes updates on events happing this week in Eagle Nation.  As we are already three weeks into the school year, we ask that all families keep an eye on grades so they don’t slip during the first quarter.  Over the next few weeks, we will begin offering tutoring sessions and other opportunities for your students to get extra support in their academics.

Calendar Updates

Labor Day Holiday - No School on September 3, 2018

Long Wednesday - No early release Wednesday on October 10, 2018

Progress Book Grades

Parents are encouraged to check their student’s Progress Book grades every week.  You should see at least one new grade for each course by the end of the week.  At the end of this week, you should see at least four grades posted for each class.  If your student is missing an assignment, please establish a plan with your student for identifying and completing any missing work.  You can set up alerts in Progress Book to send you notifications when assignments are missing or incomplete.  Please contact your child’s teacher or guidance counselor if you have any questions about grades or Progress Book.

iReady Diagnostic Testing

This week all students will take the Beginning of the Year Diagnostic in Math and Reading.  These diagnostic assessments will be given three times throughout the to help monitor growth and identify deficiencies.  We ask that you encourage your child to do their best on the diagnostic in order to give us an accurate picture of their progress.
